A classic peacoat with modern options, this design is the perfect introduction to menswear tailoring as the detailed instructions will help you create a beautifully finished coat even if you are intimidated by sewing outerwear. The design includes a narrow double breast that sits nicely both buttoned and open.
Various details can be left out or included such as: epaulets, lined patch pockets, pocket flaps, an interior patch pocket, a removable hood (using buttons), and sleeve tabs.
This design is easy to fit with an optional slimming front dart and a center back seam. Few body panels make it relatively simple to sew and it is fully lined with detailed instructions on how to insert the lining and hand-sew the hems.
The Goldstream Peacoat would suit everything from a classic navy wool with fouled anchor buttons to a rustic tweed with leather closures.
Digital Files include: All pattern files for sizes XS-XXL incl. A0 size, roll format, print at home letter size, and projector files. A detailed instruction booklet.
The PDF printout contains 5 x A0 Pages.

You will receive notification once your pattern is ready to be picked up (usually 24-48 hours). That pattern can be picked up at our brick and mortar location or shipped to you. The total cost of this option depends on how many A0 size pages the pattern is. |
We ship within Canada through various shipping carriers.
Shipping Domestically: Shipping costs are flat rate based on your total purchase price before tax. Shipping is free on orders over $150 CAD. Shipping is a flat rate of $12 CAD on purchases of $149.99 CAD or less. Express shipping rates are available on some packages.
Shipping to USA: We are pausing all shipping to the USA due to the US de minimus exemption lifted (As of August 29, 2025, shipments from Canada to the U.S. valued under $800 USD will no longer be duty- and tariff-free under the U.S. de minimis exemption, unless the goods meet CUSMA (Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement) requirements).
For local sewers - Curb-side pick-up is free and is an available option at checkout. Customers will receive an email within 48 hours notifying them that their package is ready for pick-up. Customers must pick-up their package during normal store hours, bring order confirmation for proof of purchase.
