No previous sewing experience is required. However, all students must first complete our prerequisite class before attending weekly sewing lessons, camps, or workshops.

The prerequisite class teaches sewing machine basics, studio safety, and foundational sewing skills so students can participate confidently and independently in future classes.

Kids/Teen Prerequisite Class Registration

Not at all! Our sewing programs are open and welcoming to children and teens of all genders. We offer a wide variety of projects throughout the year, including many unisex sewing patterns and garment options.

That said, we understand some boys may feel more comfortable joining a class where there are other boys participating as well. Because of this, we often recommend our Monday class option for families specifically looking for this type of environment.

All genders are welcome in every class offering. While students follow a progressive curriculum together, there are often a few garment or project variations available so students can choose options that best suit their style and comfort level.

We work with shy or nervous students all the time.

It is very common for students to feel nervous during their first few classes or want their parent to stay briefly while they settle in. That is completely okay.

Our instructors are experienced in helping students feel comfortable gradually and at their own pace. Over time, most students become noticeably more confident and independent within the studio environment.

Tuition includes:

• 32 Sewing Classes from Sept - June (1 class per week).
• Access to 5 makeup session per year (first come, first serve)
• All fabrics and sewing materials needed for projects
• Use of sewing machines and studio equipment during class
• Small-group instruction with a 5:1 student-to-instructor ratio
• A progressive sewing curriculum throughout the year

Tuition does not include the student's personal sewing toolkit.

Tuition may be cancelled at any time of the year through your subscription manager as long as cancellation occurs at least 2 weeks prior to the next billing date.

The minimum commitment is 1 month.

Yes — students may join the weekly sewing program mid-year as long as space is available.

Students first attend one of our upcoming prerequisite classes and then are placed directly into the weekly program the following week.

Depending on when your child starts, the first monthly payment may be prorated or waived. For example, if your child begins close to the end of the month, the next monthly payment may be skipped.
