Hi! I'm Karalee (left in picture). I'm a self-taught sewer who began my sewing journey at the tender age of 12. At the time, I found the rules of my sewing classes a bit too strict but I've realized in adulthood that trial and error is a truly excellent way to learn and grow. I lived in Toronto for about 15 years (working in magazine publishing among other things) but I'm so happy to have made the move to Dundas in 2021.

And I'm Nakita (right in picture). Hello, thanks for visiting! I moved to Dundas from Toronto just after my first daughter was born. While I was working my day job as a research scientist I would dream about the beautiful patterns and lovely fabrics that I had waiting for me at home. What I love about sewing is the freedom to enjoy fashion without the size constraints that the fashion industry puts on us. I'm relatively new to sewing but when I started I dove in - head first, learned fast, and found something that I am truly passionate about. Sewing your own clothes is freedom, sustainability, and creativity all wrapped into one rewarding hobby.
