SUMMER SEWING CAMP (7-14 yo)

Kids Choice Programming 

Our Summer Sewing Camp is a week-long full-day creative experience for kids and teens who love art and creativity. Running Monday to Friday, camp gives students the time, guidance, and confidence to complete sewing projects they’ll be proud of.

What makes our Summer Camp truly special is our Kids Choice Programming. Each week is designed around what your child wants to make.

At the beginning of the week, campers use our planning sheet (see image) to map out their projects from a curated library of 30+ sewing projects.

Each project includes:

• A clearly defined difficulty level

• An estimated time to completion

With instructor guidance, students plan a realistic and satisfying week based on their interests, skill level, and pace. This approach gives kids ownership over their learning while ensuring they feel supported, successful, and engaged.

Projects range from beginner-friendly makes to more advanced builds, and all projects are adapted as needed so every student feels challenged—but never overwhelmed.

• Campers are required to have previously taken our prerequisite class - there are several dates available prior to Summer Camp including every Saturday morning in July. This can be added to your cart at the same time as the prerequisite camp.

Camp Schedule

Week 1: June 29th - July 3rd (No camp on July 1st)
Week 2: July 6th - July 10th
Week 3: July 13th - July 17th
Week 4: July 20th - July 24th 
Week 5: July 27th - July 31st 

Location: Main Fabric Studio, 43 Cootes Drive, Dundas
Time: 9:00am - 3:00pm

Daily Schedule:
9am - 10:15am - Sewing Time
10:15am - 10:45am - Break/Arts+Crafts/Snack
10:45am - 12pm - Sewing Time 
12pm - 1pm - Lunch/Hike/Park (outdoor time)
1pm - 2:30pm - Sewing Time
2:30pm - 3:00pm - Clean up/Plan for next day/Arts+Crafts/Snack

Before & After Care (Optional)

• Before Care: 7:45am – 9:00am

• After Care: 3:00pm – 4:15pm

Camp Pricing

• $450 per week

• June 29th - July 3rd (4 days only) - $360 

Early Bird Pricing (February 5th - March 5th):

• $405 per session (10% off)

• June 29th - July 3rd (4 days only) (10% off) - $324

We encourage early registration, as spots are limited to ensure a low instructor-to-child ratio and plenty of individualized support for each child.

Is Summer Sewing Camp for Beginners?

Summer Sewing Camp is for all levels of sewists. However, anyone attending camp must have completed our prerequisite course prior to attending camp. We are offering many prerequisite course dates before summer camp - Sign up here. Add both Summer camp and the prerequisite course to your cart and receive $25 off. 

FAQ and Toolkit Notes:

Students are required to have their own sewing toolkit, including a sharp pair of fabric shears. We’ve curated a high-quality Kids Sewing Toolkit that’s available for purchase at a discounted price with the purchase of the little stitchers workshop. Deposit:

If purchasing prior to June 2nd you can choose to pay a 50% deposit to secure your spot - the deposit is transferable (we can apply your credit to a different course) prior to the second payment on June 16th. After the second payment is made - the deposit becomes non-refundable and non-transferable and your second payment is subject to our normal workshop policy and cancellation rules.
