Celebrating 15 years of Merchant & Mills and our very first pattern we have come up with 7 different ways of transforming the Trapeze dress. A sailor collar, a party dress, a peter pan collar, a frill sleeve, a tiered dress, a frilled hem and a bias cut dress.
All the instructions and pattern pieces you will need to create all 7 of these variations are purchased together in one bundle as an addition to your Trapeze pattern. You need the the original Trapeze pattern in order to make these hacks.
Fabric suggestions - woven dress weight fabrics from linen, denim and woollens to printed cottons.

Digital Files Included: This pack includes detailed instructions for assembling each of the 7 additions. You’ll find pattern piece templates (A4/Letter Size), or guidance on how to adapt pieces from the original Trapeze pattern. | Digital Files + PDF Printout | Bundle your order for a discounted rate. You will receive the same as the Digital option with the addition of your pattern printed out on large format paper. You will receive notification once your pattern is ready to be picked up (usually 24-48 hours). That pattern can be picked up at our brick and mortar location or shipped to you. The total cost of this option depends on how many A0 size pages the pattern is. |
We ship within Canada through various shipping carriers.
Shipping Domestically: Shipping costs are flat rate based on your total purchase price before tax. Shipping is free on orders over $150 CAD. Shipping is a flat rate of $12 CAD on purchases of $149.99 CAD or less. Express shipping rates are available on some packages.
Shipping to USA: We are pausing all shipping to the USA due to the US de minimus exemption lifted (As of August 29, 2025, shipments from Canada to the U.S. valued under $800 USD will no longer be duty- and tariff-free under the U.S. de minimis exemption, unless the goods meet CUSMA (Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement) requirements).
For local sewers - Curb-side pick-up is free and is an available option at checkout. Customers will receive an email within 48 hours notifying them that their package is ready for pick-up. Customers must pick-up their package during normal store hours, bring order confirmation for proof of purchase.
