Kids and Teen Intro Class (Prerequisite)

Start strong with machine basics for kids and teens. 

This class is a prerequisite for all of our little stitchers and teen sewing classes. Once your child completes this 2.5 hour, 1 day workshop they are eligible to enrol in the following kids classes + programs:

• Afterschool/Weekend 6 Week Little Stitchers and Teen Sewing Program
• PA Day Camps
• March Break Camp
• Summer Camp 
• Mini-Workshops (1-day creative projects)

Book any little stitchers and teen sewing program and get $25 OFF the prerequisite class (discount automatically applied when you add both to your cart). 

Perfect for complete beginners (or anyone who needs a refresher), this class teaches you how to operate a sewing machine safely and correctly—so you can walk into your first session feeling ready, not overwhelmed.

Sewing Toolkit: 

• Students are required to have their own sewing toolkit, including a sharp pair of fabric shears. We’ve curated a high-quality Kids Sewing Toolkit that’s available for purchase at a discounted price with the purchase of the little stitchers workshop.

Don't forget to add your workshop dates to your calendar as soon as you have registered. About a week prior to your workshop you will receive an email outlining further details of the workshop including what you will learn, what you need to bring, and our cancellation policy. The email will also include our class waiver that will need to be signed online prior to attending the workshop.

At the studio we allow water and light snacks around the cutting table and sewing machines, other types of drinks and larger snacks can be enjoyed in our store sitting area. Cell phones, devices are great learning tools, you are welcome to bring and use them.

Full payment of the workshop is required at the time of registration to reserve your spot. Participants must be 14 years of age or older to participate on their own in the workshop unless otherwise stated. Participants between the ages of 14-17 must have a parent or guardian sign their liability waiver. Participants between the ages 8 - 13 years of age can participate in the workshop as long as a paying adult participating as well. 

Cancellation policy 

• Full Refund: Available for cancellations made more than 7 days before the workshop date.
• 50% Refund or Transfer: For cancellations made between 3 to 7 days prior to the workshop, you have the option of receiving a 50% refund or transferring your spot to the next available workshop. If there is no complimentary workshop you will receive a 50% refund. 
• No Refund/Transfer: Cancellations within 48 hours of the workshop date will not be eligible for a refund or transfer.

DEBUT workshops are non-refundable and non-transferable. 

Workshop spots are transferable, if you are unable to make your workshop, send a friend! Call or text us to let us know of the switch.
