This is beautifully versatile cloth that works for so many patterns, it has a soft fluid drape with a matte finish. The small amount of linen gives the fabric more body and a slightly slubby finish. It also makes it easier to work with!

Tencel is made from wood pulp that’s harvested from tree farms that are sustainably managed and traceable. The fiber production itself is more eco-friendly than cotton production due to its’ closed-loop process. This means that up to 99% of the water and solvents used are recycled and reused. 

This fabric is medium-weight with a beautiful drape, perfect for making swishy tops, dresses, skirts, and even lightweight jackets. 

Submerge fabric in water before putting in the drum. Wash cool on a delicate cycle with non-bio detergent and a gentle spin. Do not tumble. Shake out and dry flat.

There is 6% shrinkage with the first wash. The surface texture of Tencel will go more chalky and less sheeny once washed and lived in. Never dry linen in direct sunlight as the colour can bleach and fade.

Shipping to USA: Shipping costs are flat rate based on your total purchase price before tax. Shipping is free on orders over $200 CAD. Shipping is a flat rate of $25 USD on purchases of $199.99 CAD or less. Express shipping rates are available on some packages. 

For local sewers - Curb-side pick-up is free and is an available option at checkout. Customers will receive an email within 48 hours notifying them that their package is ready for pick-up. Customers must pick-up their package during normal store hours, bring order confirmation for proof of purchase.
