This short 45-min workshop is reserved for sewing members only. If you are about to or have already purchased a sewing membership then this workshop is mandatory to complete on the first day of your membership. Your membership period will begin on the day that you come in for this workshop, you are welcome to continue working in the studio upon completion of the workshop. PFAFF Sewing 101 is included in your membership fee. 

The objective of this workshop will be to teach you (or review) how to use the PFAFF ambition 610 sewing machine incl.

• winding the bobbin
• threading the machine
• changing the needle & pressor foot
• choosing stitches
• choosing stitch tension and width
• sewing a straight stitch & a zig-zag stitch
• reverse sewing

This course is available to sewing members who have never sewed before, however we recommend taking our course Intro to Machine Sewing for a more robust sewing lesson. 

If you are a sewing member who has already taken Intro to Machine Sewing you are exempt from this mandatory workshop and can begin using your membership at any time.

Don't forget to add your workshop dates to your calendar as soon as you have registered. About a week prior to your workshop you will receive an email outlining further details of the workshop including what you will learn, what you need to bring, and our cancellation policy. The email will also include our class waiver that will need to be signed online prior to attending the workshop.

At the studio we allow water and light snacks around the cutting table and sewing machines, other types of drinks and larger snacks can be enjoyed in our store sitting area. Cell phones, devices are great learning tools, you are welcome to bring and use them.

Full payment of the workshop is required at the time of registration to reserve your spot. Participants must be 14 years of age or older to participate on their own in the workshop unless otherwise stated. Participants between the ages of 14-17 must have a parent or guardian sign their liability waiver. Participants between the ages 8 - 13 years of age can participate in the workshop as long as a paying adult participating as well. 

Cancellation policy 

Our cancellation policy will change as of April 8th 2024. Changes to the policy help us to provide a better experience to all of our clients. Below is our new class cancellation policy that will take into effect as of April 8th 2024. 

- Full Refund: Available for cancellations made more than 7 days before the workshop date.
- 50% Refund or Transfer: For cancellations made between 3 to 7 days prior to the workshop, you have the option of receiving a 50% refund or transferring your spot to the next available workshop. If there is no complimentary workshop you will receive a 50% refund. 
- No Refund/Transfer: Cancellations within 48 hours of the workshop date will not be eligible for a refund or transfer.

DEBUT workshops are non-refundable and non-transferable. 

Workshop spots are transferable, if you are unable to make your workshop, send a friend! Call or text us to let us know of the switch.
