This is an open sewing course for Teens/Tweens age 11-17yo. Over this 7 week course teens will learn-to-sew with a machine, understand how to identify and work with different fabric types, and work on individual projects of their choosing. The instructor will help teens choose projects at their level and will work with teens to advance their sewing skills.
All levels are welcome in this course. The beginner projects will be tote bag, apron, and pyjama pants. If your teen has sufficient experience with sewing patterns they can work on intermediate projects.

No prior experience is necessary for this workshop.

Special Note - Although we encourage attendance for every session over the 7-week course we understand that scheduling conflicts arise. If you are to miss a session, you will be able to consult with the instructor by email to see if anything important was missed and they will make sure to catch you up in the next class. Studio time is available to students outside of your class time.

Don't forget to add your workshop dates to your calendar as soon as you have registered. About a week prior to your workshop you will receive an email outlining further details of the workshop including what you will learn, what you need to bring, and our cancellation policy. The email will also include our class waiver that will need to be signed online prior to attending the workshop.

At the studio we allow water and light snacks around the cutting table and sewing machines, other types of drinks and larger snacks can be enjoyed in our store sitting area. Cell phones, devices are great learning tools, you are welcome to bring and use them.

Full payment of the workshop is required at the time of registration to reserve your spot. Participants must be 14 years of age or older to participate on their own in the workshop unless otherwise stated. Participants between the ages of 14-17 must have a parent or guardian sign their liability waiver. Participants between the ages 8 - 13 years of age can participate in the workshop as long as a paying adult participating as well.
Cancellation policy
- Full Refund: Available for cancellations made more than 7 days before the workshop date.
- 50% Refund or Transfer: For cancellations made between 3 to 7 days prior to the workshop, you have the option of receiving a 50% refund or transferring your spot to the next available workshop. If there is no complimentary workshop you will receive a 50% refund.
- No Refund/Transfer: Cancellations within 48 hours of the workshop date will not be eligible for a refund or transfer.
DEBUT workshops are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Workshop spots are transferable, if you are unable to make your workshop, send a friend! Call or text us to let us know of the switch.
