Elevate your sewing skills in this advanced workshop led by our renowned instructor, Melanie. This session is tailored for those experienced in sewing, focusing on creating a personalized pant block from your own measurements. You'll learn precise measuring, drafting, and adjusting techniques to ensure a perfect fit. By the end, you'll have your very own custom pant block/pattern (a starting point to design countless pants that fit flawlessly). Join us to master pant pattern drafting and transform your sewing projects!
Class Dates
Saturdays Feb 16th, March March 1st, 15th, 29th (4 sessions)
2pm to 5pm
This workshop is 12 hours total. This workshop is limited to 5 attendees.
You should already know how to:
- Use a sewing machine and sew basic stitches
- Sew a complete garment using a beginner sewing pattern
Skills that you can practice:
- Precise measurement of your body
- Techniques of pattern drafting
- Fitting curves
- Recognizing and adjustment of drag lines
- Sewing like a professional
- Transferring your pattern to Oak Tag Paper
Additionally, you receive:
- 12 hours with an expert instructor
- All course materials are included.
- Use of our equipment and tools

Don't forget to add your workshop dates to your calendar as soon as you have registered. About a week prior to your workshop you will receive an email outlining further details of the workshop including what you will learn, what you need to bring, and our cancellation policy. The email will also include our class waiver that will need to be signed online prior to attending the workshop.

At the studio we allow water and light snacks around the cutting table and sewing machines, other types of drinks and larger snacks can be enjoyed in our store sitting area. Cell phones, devices are great learning tools, you are welcome to bring and use them.

Full payment of the workshop is required at the time of registration to reserve your spot. Participants must be 14 years of age or older to participate on their own in the workshop unless otherwise stated. Participants between the ages of 14-17 must have a parent or guardian sign their liability waiver. Participants between the ages 8 - 13 years of age can participate in the workshop as long as a paying adult participating as well.
Cancellation policy
- Full Refund: Available for cancellations made more than 7 days before the workshop date.
- 50% Refund or Transfer: For cancellations made between 3 to 7 days prior to the workshop, you have the option of receiving a 50% refund or transferring your spot to the next available workshop. If there is no complimentary workshop you will receive a 50% refund.
- No Refund/Transfer: Cancellations within 48 hours of the workshop date will not be eligible for a refund or transfer.
DEBUT workshops are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Workshop spots are transferable, if you are unable to make your workshop, send a friend! Call or text us to let us know of the switch.
