Serging, also known as overlocking, is a sewing technique that uses a specialized machine called a serger to create finished edges, seams, and hems on fabric. Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to enhance your sewing skills, this hands-on workshop is perfect for you. The serger that we work on in the course is the Babylock Celebrate.

This is a 3 hour course, all course materials are included.

Pre-requisite for this workshop

Attendees don't need to have any prior knowledge or experience with a sewing machine, although we recommend taking our other beginner courses to round out your sewing journey. Serging or overlocking is an additional skill that is especially useful if you already have some experience making garments with a sewing machine. Our other beginner courses are outlined below. Members must take Serger 101 in order to use our sergers during your studio time.
