Join us for another project in our "Fit + Sew" series, focusing exclusively on crafting the perfect pair of JEANS. Known as one of the more challenging garments to fit properly, Jeans require precise adjustments at various points to achieve a custom fit.
Participants will begin their journey by crafting a muslin, or a practice pair of jeans, to identify and pinpoint fit issues. Under the expert guidance of our seasoned seamstress, fit adjustments will be made directly on your body. These modifications will then be transferred back to your original pattern, creating your PERFECT jeans pattern. With this tailor-fitted blueprint in hand, you will proceed to sew your final piece, implementing the adjustments with continuous support from our expert, ensuring you end up with a pair of pants that you love!

You should already know how to:
- Independently thread and adjust the sewing machine
- Sew a beginner pattern
- Read simple sewing instructions

Participants are welcome to suggest a Jeans pattern of their choosing. We ask you to send us your request prior to the workshop so that the instructor can prepare.
Special Note - Although we encourage attendance for every session over the 6-week course we understand that scheduling conflicts arise. If you are to miss a session, you will be able to consult with the instructor by email to see if anything important was missed and they will make sure to catch you up in the next class. Studio time is available to students outside of your class time.

Don't forget to add your workshop dates to your calendar as soon as you have registered. About a week prior to your workshop you will receive an email outlining further details of the workshop including what you will learn, what you need to bring, and our cancellation policy. The email will also include our class waiver that will need to be signed online prior to attending the workshop.

At the studio we allow water and light snacks around the cutting table and sewing machines, other types of drinks and larger snacks can be enjoyed in our store sitting area. Cell phones, devices are great learning tools, you are welcome to bring and use them.

Full payment of the workshop is required at the time of registration to reserve your spot. Participants must be 14 years of age or older to participate on their own in the workshop unless otherwise stated. Participants between the ages of 14-17 must have a parent or guardian sign their liability waiver. Participants between the ages 8 - 13 years of age can participate in the workshop as long as a paying adult participating as well.
Cancellation policy
Our cancellation policy will change as of April 8th 2024. Changes to the policy help us to provide a better experience to all of our clients. Below is our new class cancellation policy that will take into effect as of April 8th 2024.
- Full Refund: Available for cancellations made more than 7 days before the workshop date.
- 50% Refund or Transfer: For cancellations made between 3 to 7 days prior to the workshop, you have the option of receiving a 50% refund or transferring your spot to the next available workshop. If there is no complimentary workshop you will receive a 50% refund.
- No Refund/Transfer: Cancellations within 48 hours of the workshop date will not be eligible for a refund or transfer.
DEBUT workshops are non-refundable and non-transferable.
